Who Can Save Me

Chapter 3 Part 1

Kyle's POV

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Blake asked. "I mean, we don't even have a plan. Do you just expect us to waltz in there and take her?"

I stared at Blake with no emotion. "We just got here, Blake. And plus, I have some...errands, to run, before we go looking for Lacey."

Carter looked at me knowingly and said, "I'll call them to let 'em know we're coming."

"Who? Let who know we're coming?"

"Blake, just shut up. You'll know when we get there."

Carter turned away from us and brought his phone up to his ear. He talked for a minute and then brought the phone down and walked back to us.

Nodding at me, he announced, "Everything's settled. Let's go." And in the blink of an eye, Carter was gone.

I turned to Blake and rubbed my hands together. "Okay, Blake. I'm going to take you to a place you've never been to before." I took hold of his hand, taking him from my backyard on Earth to England on Shadow's Peak.

"What in the w-" Blake started then stopped abruptly as he took in the sight before him. I walked up to the doors, knocked and waltzed in as if I owned the place. Which, technically, I did. I maneuvered through the confusing hallways and stopped in front of his office where Carter was standing.

"Took you long enough," Carter scoffed.

"Blake wouldn't stop complaining."

Carter nodded and knocked on Eric's office door before we walked in. Eric was sitting at his desk with Katrina lounging on the couch by the book cases. "Good, now I won't have to waste any more time getting the both of you."

Eric stared up at us with wide eyes before slowly getting out of the desk and joining his wife on the couch. "You called?"

Carter nodded and took his seat behind the desk. Lacing his fingers together he put them under his chin and locked gazes with Eric. "Lacey's been kidnapped. We checked everywhere on Earth but she wasn't there, so she must be here. Can you help us?"

"Of course. Anything for you, Your Majesty," Eric answered with a bow. He then turned and bowed to me, also, his wife doing the same. "And who is this?" He asked, turning to Blake.

"He's a friend of Lacey's," I quickly stated, wanting to get the search started as quickly as possible.

Eric nodded, noticing my anxiousness. "Alright, let's get started."

"We need to get a couple of people real quick, so we'll be right back," I said and ushered Carter and Blake out of the room.

"Who do we need to get?" Blake asked.

"Serena and Ashley," Carter answered.

"Who are they?"

"Lacey's best friends," I said, then jumped to Serena's front yard with Carter and Blake right behind me. "We need to see what they know, then we'll take them back to the castle."

Blake nodded and we walked up to Serena's door, knocking loudly on the wood.
