The first thing everyone probably wants to know is the answer to the question, "What is Justinside?"
Justinside is a crossover universe featuring various separate worlds called "Realms". Each of these Realms is home to a specific setting, time period, etc. that can connect with other Realms.
How the Realms Connect
Realms can connect to separate Realms throughout Justinside via a Teleportation Gate found in the Capital Location (more info on this on the Realm information chapter). Teleportation Gates require an ID received either from a Home-Realm (which only works at that specific Realm's Gate) or the Justinside Guild of Heroes after registering as a Hero, Vendor, or other specialty.
There are some exceptions to Teleportation Gate ID rules, however. Some Realms give open access to the Gates, while others let a select group (usually members of the Realm's governmental factions) use them in exchange for a small fare.
Also, Teleportation Gate access can be used for more than one individual at a time, as long as the destination is the same. If one or more of these individuals does not have a registration or ID for that Gate, someone who does is required to pay a toll for each "Guest" that partakes in the transportation from one Realm to the next.
The Justinside Guild of Heroes
In the Heroic Realm, a large building is freely accessible to Justinside citizens for work purposes. This is known as the Justinside Guild of Heroes, though it is mostly referred to as "the Guild". The Guild has simulated training rooms, classrooms, gymnasiums, multi-purpose rooms, and other chambers with specific intentions.
The lobby of the Guild's building is the most notable out of all of its rooms, however, as this is where the front counter and Registration Zone are located. Any citizens that wish to officially be placed on the list of Heroes are to use their Home-Realm ID to generate a new ID that gives them permissions that only Heroes are able to have access to. Notable permissions are free trips through Transportation Gates, the privilege to form or join a Faction or Team, and the erasure of any criminal records created prior to the registration.
Other Occupations
Obviously, not everyone in Justinside is able to register as a Hero due to the Exams that take place to test eligibility, so there are many other choices for citizens to choose from to earn a living. The most popular choice is to work as a Vendor in the Traveler Realm, which allows them to become a staff member of any number of shops as long as they do their work properly to gain their weekly pay. The "shops" there range from grocery stores and libraries to Living Statue creators' workshops and bodyguard hire stations.
Other paying jobs offered include medical services, undercover agents, caterers, and paid mercenaries. Some of the jobs can remove specific marks on an individual's criminal record, while others can add to them. Not every job market is legal, after all.
Guide to Pronunciation
On later pages there will be specific terms that have a pronunciation written in parentheses and quotation marks. The enunciated syllables are written in all CAPS, while the rest are in their lowercase forms. Pronouncing the actual syllables will be explained below, with vowels coming first, and consonants second. And trust me on this one, you'll need these to be able to decode some of the names I came up with.
"A" sounds like the first vowel in "Apple" or "Actually".
"Ah" sounds like the first vowel in "Octopus" or "Awesome".
"Ahy" sounds like the first vowel in "Shy" or "High".
"Ar" sounds like the first vowel in "Arc" or "Arm".
