I was finally home

We had agreed to think over it a few times again before any decisions

"Iqra, for the nth time, what is wrong with you!?" I asked her

I have been talking to her and she does not respond

At all.

She gave me a small smile

"I am fine" she said but I knew better

Stopping the car at the sideways, I turned to her

"Whats wrong, kit Kat?" I asked her

She shot a smile at me for using her old nickname like always

"Its just that...." she sighed and I raised an eyebrow

"What?" I asked her

"... Nabaahat and Nafasat go to my college.... and... well it's awkward to know or see them as a sibling, I mean all this time I had only you and now Ruqayyah bhabhi and it's really weird that the two people I knew from college and never talked to became my step siblings suddenly!" She said as if talking to herself

I smiled

Feelings mutual sister

"Look, Iqra, I know the feelings currently but please calm down, it's nothing to be stressed over, everything will be fine!" I said and she nodded

"In sha Allah!" She muttered and I did too

I am hoping

Starting back the ignition I drove home

No work today

Entering the house I realized it was empty

Switching my phones power on, I saw messages from ammi and Shumayll

From: ammi

Leaving for Shumayll's place, Humaira invited for dinner!

Hope everything went well

Call when you get home

I smiled

At least she told me this

Opening Shumayll's message, the only thing it had was tell Iqra to switch her damn phone on

Smiling I went to Iqra's room and told her the message

She chuckled before nodded and walking away

I called ammi and talked to her, telling her we will chat later at home

After taking care of a few paperwork's, I was done

Finally I was showered, relieved and in bed

Going through my contacts, I dialled the number that was most frequently called 

"As salamu alaikum!" Said Ruqayyah and I smiled

Lying on my bed I tugged my pillow to my face
