When The Sea Met The Shore

Welcome to the world

Which we used to hold

And say it was dear to us

But now nature doesn't dare to trust

Us with the land

We watched crumble in our hands

And laughed whilst it trickled into dust

We dug down to earth's crust

But it wasn't enough

We turn to the sea

To provide us with our energy

It got tired of talking the fall

For our mistakes

So it crept to the shore

And raised the stakes

Opened your doors

And met your homes

You couldn't cope

Moved below

But you lost your hope

When you hollowed out the world

You ate up the land

And drunk up the sea

And made the world empty
