Redemption won't come easily.
Your vision is so clouded by misguided intentions
That I'm afraid your eyes may never find your soul.
Redemption won't come quickly.
You've lost a lifetime of milestones.
The young ones have grown and now
Wearily and knowingly carry the burden of your fading heart.
The guilt will follow you
Like a faceless, ghostly shadow.
Comfort will be fleeting as even the purest minds
Will be poisoned by the thought of you.
Redemption won't come easily or quickly,
Because for you,
It won't come at all.
