Skye's POV:
My eyes slowly open. The sun is dancing off the curtains, giving the room a warm glow.
I try to sit up, but I am surprised to find that I cannot.
"Good morning." Someone says, softly.
Ward.
Ward is why can't sit up. I am wrapped in his arms.
He shifts me so that I am laying on top of him and looking down at him. He smiles sweetly up at me.
Suddenly, all of the night's events come rushing back to me.
Ward admitted that he has feelings for me, and then I kissed him. Then, he kissed me back. We must have just fallen asleep.
"Did you sleep well?" He asks, softly.
"Y-Yes." I answer, quietly.
"Good." He replies with the same amount of softness. "I am going to go change."
With that, he unwraps me from his grasp, gets out of bed, and smiles at me before entering the bathroom.
Did Ward and I really kiss?
I suddenly feel sick to the stomach.
I mean, I really like Ward, but I have had so many failed relationships in the past. No matter how I act, all of my boyfriends end up hating me and being mean to me. And if Ward did that, my heart would shatter.
Ward comes out if the bathroom and looks at me. He walks up to the bed and leans in for a kiss. I dodge it and lightly push him away.
Now, he looks worried.
His big, brown puppy eyes stare down at me. He looks worried, nervous, and sad at the same time.
Suddenly, Ward's phone starts ringing.
He answers it.
"Sir?" He asks.
It must be Coulson.
"........"
"TWO DAYS!!!! You said I had a week!" Ward replies, angrily.
"..........."
Ward's face becomes emotionless again.
"Alright. Good-bye." He says, coldly.
Ward hangs up and looks at me.
"I am going out, again. I'll be back later." He says in the same tone he used last time.
With that, he leaves.
What is going on with him?

So, let me clear two things up. First of all, like last time, "....." , was Coulson talking. It was like that because Skye couldn't hear what he was saying over the phone. Secondly..... I PROMISE you that more romance is coming in the next chapter. So do not worry!
