Dana's Point of View:

*flashback*

"Den, come on let's play" I said.
But Dennis didn't react, and I saw his face became sad.

"Dan, I need to tell you something". He said with a sad tone in his voice.

"Ok. Go on and I'll listen." I said as my heart begins pumping very fast.

"My mom said that we will go to Canada next week, and she said she's planning to live there." He told me.

What?!

"W-why? How about our friendship?". And my tears started to fall on my cheeks.

"Don't worry Dana, I promise I'll come back." He said as he hugged me and wiped my tears.

"But when?!" I asked as we separated from the hug.

"I don't know Dana... maybe after 5-6 years?... I don't know..." He said

"Den please don't leave... please..." I begged and started crying

"I have no choice, but I promise I'll come back". Den  re-assured me.

"You have a choice Den... you have!" - me

"Yes I do have but I only have one choice and that choice is I have to leave for Canada... but I promise I will come back..." he said and hugged me

" Promise?... - I asked while sobbing.

"Promise, cross my heart hope to die." He said pleadingly

Ugh I remembered it again. It's been almost 10 years that we hadn't seen each other. But now, I'm still hoping that he'll do what he had promise to me.
"Ugh. Dana, stop thinking about it."
I said to myself and slapped my own face.

"Sis, wake up!" My brother said while knocking on the door of my room.
"Yes Sir." I shouted. He didn't know that I'm already awake. I stood up and went to the restroom. After I washed my face and brushed my teeth, I went downstairs to eat breakfast.

"Oh! Baby, come on join us" Mom said.

I sat on the chair next to my brother.

"But, wait. Where is Dad?" I asked.

"Hmmm. He has a meeting today, that's why-."

"Okay, fine." I didn't let my mother finish her explanation. Dad is very busy always. Well, not always. But even though he is very busy and sometimes he had no time for us. I love him and I'm so proud of him because he is very hardworking.

"Kuya, last night you said that we'll be going to the park today, right?" I said with excitement.

"Yes, I told you last night right? Well, a promise is a promise." My brother said

"Yes! Yay!!" I shouted and hugged him
