Chapter Twenty-Two;

                “Layla?! Layla what’s wrong?” I shut my eyes tighter, still not fully awake. “Layla wake up, what’s wrong, what happened?” I felt two warm hands on my shoulders shaking me lightly, I felt my head roll to the side but I made no effort to move it. “Layla wake up please.” I sensed desperation in what I knew was Nikolas’ voice and lifted my head slowly.

                “What?” I opened my eyes slowly and saw Nikolas scanning my face. “Let me sleep please.” I leaned my head back against the wall shutting my eyes again. I knew I wasn’t sleeping for long since I could still taste the nasty in my mouth.

                “Layla come back to the room please.” His voice was pleading as he pulled me by my hands. “Please babe I’m sorry.” I pushed against him, too tired to move. I heard him sigh then shift himself next to me. “You need to get real sleep Lay, you can’t stay here.” He wrapped an arm around my shoulders and pulled me to his side, I let my head fall onto his shoulder feeling him tighten his grip on me.

                “Let me sleep, please?” I wrapped my arms around him, noticing that I was colder than I thought. I let his warmth radiate onto me, feeling it calm my body.

                “Sleep in the room with me?” he caressed my arm with his thumb, like it wasn’t going to make me even more tired. “Don’t stay here.” He kissed the top of my head and I sighed, finally opening my eyes. “Hey.” He smiled at me nuzzling his face into my neck.

                “Okay I’m up.” I laughed a little pushing him away from me. “Let’s go.” I looked up at him and saw him smile down at me, his eyes scanning my own. He cupped my face with his free hand and pulled his face closer to my own, closing his eyes and pressing his lips against mine.

                I almost forgot that I had yuck-mouth. I pulled away from him and saw his smile fall. “Are you sick?” he held his hand to my forehead, moving it down to my cheeks and finally resting on my neck. “What’s wrong?”

                “Nothing, I just need to sleep.” I put my hand on his knee but he was quicker to stand than I was, he extended his hands to me and pulled me up. I winced slightly as my foot was asleep, I grabbed his arm tight taking in a sharp breath and he steadied me carefully.

                “Are you sure you’re okay?” he pulled me to him and wrapped an arm around my waist, holding my hand as he did so. “We have a lot of stuff to do tomorrow are you sure you’re up for it?”

                “I’ll be fine, can we just sleep please?”  I was standing at the side of the bed, Nikolas helping me down like I was made of glass. I lied down and shoved my face into the pillow; I felt the bed dip as he lied down next to me.

                “I’m sorry.” He whispered, pulling me close to his body. “I’m so sorry Layla.” I shook my head, lifting my lips to his neck kissing him lightly before resting my head on his chest. He didn’t have to be sorry. He kissed my head again and laid his head back falling asleep quickly.

                “Who’s got time to shower?! I don’t even have clothes to change into why the hell would I take another shower?!” Kevin was arguing with someone, it was a lovely thing to wake up. “Another thing, if you guys wanted me to change my clothes so badly you would’ve stopped at a store so I could buy things!”

                “You’re going to wake everyone up can you stop talking?!” It was Alina, the two of them were at it already it was ten in the damn morning and they were fighting.
