Derek
I woke to a snoring Kayleigh. Her mouth was slightly open. Bits of her hair fell across her face perfectly. She was utterly beautiful. Beautiful is an understatment. I took a picture of her and posted it on my Instagram. As much as I regreted leaving her there to sleep by herself, I wanted her to wake up to something amazing. I brushed my teeth and took a shower. I grabbed some random items of clothing and put them on. Pic above.
I walked into the kitchen and started making her breakfast. (Oh my days, can you imagine Derek cooking, im dying). Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and toast. I made her tea and left the food on the dining table. I walked upstairs to wake her up. Her legs were sprawled across the bed, she was cuddling up with the pillow I used. I think she missed me.
"No, I want the red ones, no the Louboutins, oh my gosh, stop, yeah, I love you too Derek, I love them." She was mumbling in her sleep. I smiled. My head was racing with thoughts. 'She loves me'. I walked over to her and shook her lightly. Her dark brown, almost black eyes appeared.
"Good morning Sugar!" She smiled and sat up.
"What's that fantastic smell?"
"I made my queen breakfast." I smiled proudly.
"Really, I thought you were sick."
"I feel a bit better thanks to you." She stood up and walked into her bathroom. I watched as she brushed her teeth and washed her face. She put on some leggings and a maroon hoodie.
"Jump on my back." I kneeled down and let her hop on. I ran down the hallway and the stairs.
"Jesus, slow down, you don't pay for my insurance." She giggled.
"Yeah, but my cooking skills were totally worth it."
"I hope!" We sat down, said a quick prayer and began to eat. Her eyes widened after her first bite.
"This is amazing, oh my God."
"Thank you Sugar."
"Who taught to cook like this?"
"Momma Luh, speaking of my momma, I really want you to meet my family."
"Derek."
"Ok, fine, what if I introduce you to my sister first."
"She won't like me."
"Why wont she?"
"I'm nothing compared to her. She's perfect and has perfect clevage and is skinny but me I'm skin and bone." I let her ramble on and on. I waited until she was finished.
"Babygirl, your perfect to me, I know I haven't done much to show you that but I promise you. Your are the most beautiful, sexiest, independent, funniest, smartest woman I have ever met in my whole entire life. I know it might seem like I don't care about you or don't have any interest in you but I was going to ask you out on a date. You, Delany and my mother are the three most important women in my life. You've showed me that I need drugs or money to make me happy, I need surround myself with good people to live a good life. You've taught me so many things in the past 3 months. You are the woman of my dreams. It might seem too early but I do want you to be the mother of my children and I do want you to be woman I wake up to every single day. I promise that. And if you don't feel the same way well then I've made a complete fool of myself." She laughed through the tears that were rolling down her face.
"You haven't made a fool of yourself at all, I'm so lucky to have you in my life, Derek."
"I can say the exaxt same Sugar." She wrapped her arms around my neck and layed her head onmy shoulder.
