Pictures paint a thousand words,

Bright eyes cover real emotion,

Smiles hide the darkest secrets,

Nobody knows her true devotion.

The reason why she is still here,

Fighting to stay alive,

She can't let them down again,

For her family she must survive.

She's thinks she's a disappointment,

To her family and friends,

She can't tell them the truth,

So her secrets never end.

Everyday she walks around,

With a smile on her face,

Everybody thinks she’s kind and happy,

But to her she's a disgrace.

Nobody would think this girl,

That acts so happy and bright,

Would be the same girl,

That cries herself to sleep at night.

As weeks go on she looses hope,

That things will soon get better,

She can't live like this anymore,

So she decides to write her letter.

She puts her pen to paper,

Getting ready to say goodbye,

Because after all they will be,

Her last words before she dies.

She finishes her writing,

Wiping her tears from her eyes,

This is finally the end,

Of the depression and the lies.

She shakes in terror,

And locks her door,

Glances at the mirror,

And sinks to the floor.

She flicks of the safety,

Holds the gun to her head,

Breathes her last breath,

And with a BANG she is dead.

The horrifying sound,

Echo’s through her home,

Her family run to her aid,

To find her all alone.

She is laying there,

Weak, helpless and dead,

They find her letter,

And this is what it read.

‘This is my time,

To leave this world,

I am no longer,

Your precious little girl.

Ugly, sad,

A total mess,

Not at all,

Your little princess.

I am broken,

Afraid and scarred,

Who knew life,

Could be so hard.

I want you to know,

That this is for you,

I love you all,

I really do.

And always remember,

In life, actually living is the key,

These are the last words,

From little old me.’

Her father read the letter,

And cried out in pain,

Knowing he would not see,

His daughter again,

She looks down from heaven,

And can't beleive what she's done,

But by now it's too late,

She's already fired the gun.

At her funeral,

Her friends and family are a mess,

Tear stains covering,

Their all black dress.

So next time you think,

That noone's there,

Think harder,

Because someone, somewhere will always care.

And for that person,

You must survive,

And do whatever it takes,

To stay alive.
