"Ariel, run!" Those words still echo in my head. I don't cry, though. I've become accustomed to fighting them. What happened? 10 years ago, an epidemic broke out, causing corpses to rise from the dead. When I was 12, two years after the initial breakout, I became leader of a gang, among others. My friends, Shawn, Adam, and Josh have been fighting alongside me after my parents' deaths. We're on the run, trying to keep ourselves alive. Shawn's a good archer, Josh and Adam are good with knives, and I work with the guns. We are pretty supplied when it comes to weapons, since my father owned a gun shop.
