#9 The Graveyard

Awake all night,

Asleep all day,

A corpses delight,

Led astray,

The graveyard calls,

From crimson bed,

Through these echoing hall,

In which lay the dead,

Calling in a voice so tender and sweet,

Before midnight awakens,

Yet filled with hatred and deceit,

As the coffin lids quaken,

The moon high in the sky,

The land silent and serene,

The rustle of a raven swooping by,

The silence broke by a scream,

There lies the girl you once knew,

Scarred and broken,

Blood splattering her clothes like morning dew,

You fear what's been awoken,

Ruby red tears trailing down her cheeks,

Eyes as dull as murky water,

Curled up small and meek,

The fallen angels daughter,

Beside her lies a grave,

Freshly dug and square,

She pushes you in, no longer feeling brave,

You will forever live there,

Soil heaped upon your face,

As you slowly remember,

The girl you was, became a disgrace,

The girl you lost in September,
