Aaliyah,

I pulled my hair up into a pony tail, fixing my bang. I sighed as I stepped out the house in the summer of July, it was about a hundred degrees and the sun was grazing upon my skin. Looking around, observing my surroundings before I walked off of the porch and down the stairs that followed, I noticed all the kids playing around doing many things that kept them occupied.

I smiled once I noticed a few teenagers engaging with the little ones, who were probably their relatives and siblings that they had to look over. I was smiling at the fact the the teenagers weren't as interested in their phones, enough to not play with their sisters and brothers.

Putting in my headphones, 'The Isle Brothers' began to soothe me as I did my daily exercise; running.

After running a few times around the block, I stopped at the park and sat on the bench catching my breath, Taking a sip of my detox water. I sighed afterwards and took a quick glance at the time of the watch on my wrist. Slightly shrugging, guessing that I had a few hours to play with the children that were asking me to play, as always when I seen them.

"Lee, come play with us. Pwease,"

Janet, the six year old little adorable girl I met around the time I moved out of my Aunts and started to live with Lisa, asked me with a pouty face. I giggled and shook my head at her, I couldn't say no to her she was way to adorable, and she reminded me of myself at a younger age, especially the fact that my parents could never say the world 'No' to me at times.

"Sure thing, hun. " I pinched her cheeks as she giggled.

We both started to walk over to where her older brother, Michael, was playing basketball with his friends. They were all to focus into the game, not to notice me nor Janet was standing there patiently waiting for them to finish their game.

"Hey boys," I greeted them.

Soon as they heard my voice, mostly all of them immediately stopped the game and attacked me with a bunch of hugs, greeting me, as Janet and I both giggled at such foolishness they were having.

Michael was the last to come to me and give me a hug. I wrapped my arms around him with a grin on my face.

"Hey liyah," He greeted me with a slight smile on his face.

I smiled back. "Hey to you too, MJ."

He blushed and his friends nudged him while laughing at the expression on his face.

"Michael likes Liyah'!" They taunted him while laughing.

Michael face flushed in red after they said that, "I do not!"

I raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Is that so, Mikey?"

Michael frowned and fumbled on the worlds to say before deciding not to reply, as we all laughed again.

"Okay, who's ready to get a butt whooping in this basketball game?" I asked them, in a joking matter.

Many of them snickered, and some laughed and waved me off, "You don' know nutin' bout' dey' basketball mayne." Dwayne replied with his thick accent rolling off his tongue.

I put my hand over my heart in a dramatic way, "How so?"

"You're a girl," Justin replied for him, "Girls can't play for nothing."
