Someone I Used to Know

He notices her from a distance
The way she still laughs and sings
She still wears that old silver necklace
The one with the bronze wings
She dances with a new group of people
The kind she said she'll never like
But there they are sharing secrets
And talking deep through out the night
He's never felt so distant
But they are only a street apart
He never thought the day would come where she would break his heart
He never knew a friendship so strong
So thick and woven together
So braided around their finger tips
Was truly as delicate as a feather
So here he is from a distance
Noticing someone He knew
A friend asks "Do you know her?"
And he replies with a sad smile
"I used to"
