The room became deathly silent. Everyone was at a loss for what to say.
"It's bad isn't it? A nightmare you can never escape from..." Rhode wore a solemn expression as her gaze lingered on the ghastly scene.
Silence.
"And it will continue to become worse and worse until the day comes where you find you just can't cope anymore," her voice went down to a whisper,"and you'll..cease to exist. Disappear. Die."
Lenalee stifled a sob and Lavi pulled her close. Choaji was still in a state of shock, along with Cross.
An airy laugh left Allen,"Funny you should say that..."
The scene continued.
The man now recognized as Allen's father wasn't fazed by the child's cry and put all his weight down on the small boys left arm.
Crack.
A high pitched shriek pierced through the quiet.
Crying.
Begging.
Dying.
Red.
Silence.
"You, 'boy', are a monster."
