i met a girl in the eleventh grade
she played the piano
and as her hands tapped
against the ivory colored keys
she got lost in the sound
it was a song I had never
heard before
And throughout this song
her head was bowed low
just her fingers and the ivory keys
they were one.
on each black key
was a letter and together they read
"keep your head up, the world is yet to explore"
thirty six black keys
thirty six letters
one message
one song
one girl.
