"Persephone and Hades, you have professed your love by exchanging your vows. You have symbolized your commitment by exchanging rings. And you have expressed the end of your individual lives by the pouring of the unity sand. With all of this there is just one more question I need each of you to answer and then we're off to the reception to celebrate," I could hear Hera silently complain about how long this was.

"Hades – do you take Persephone to be your wife; to live together in the covenant of marriage? Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all others, be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?" Hera asked.

"I do."

"Persephone – do you take Hades to be your husband; to live together in the covenant of marriage? Do you promise to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all others, be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?" she asked me and everyone's eyes were anticipating my answer.

"I do," for a few months. I could see Hades bursting with happiness.

"Well then, by the power vested in me I now pronounce you husband and wife. Hades, you may kiss the bride," I was dreading this part. But I guess I have to put my acting skills to the test. He brought his face closer to mine until his delicious scent overwhelmed me, he raised his hand to my cheek. I thought he was gonna kiss me square on the lips but he moved ever so slightly that he kissed the corner of my lips instead, he held place there for eight seconds. Those few seconds seemed as if years passed, he's closeness was sending me over board. And his hand on my cheek was covering our mouths so everyone thought we fully kissed.

He moved his head until his mouth was right by my ear and whispered, "I wouldn't steal your first kiss if you don't love me," his voice held sadness but when he pulled away and I saw his face, he was smiling.

"Okay, but before we head to the reception, it's time to crown you, Persephone," Hades said. "I want you to agree to all the following statements," he paused.

"Do you, Persephone, promise to follow all the rules of The Underworld law?"

"Yes," I answered.

"Do you promise to stand by my side as my Queen and attend all required meetings?"

"Yes," I said surely.

"Do you promise to fulfill your duties?"

"Yes."

"Lastly, do you promise to treat all the dead and employees with respect, fairness, and kindness?"

"Yes," I smiled. Someone popped out from behind him with a pillow and a black and bright golden crown sat on top. It was embedded with jewels and a design engraved in it. He gently took it off the pillow and slowly placed it on my head, fitting perfectly. He turned me to face the crowd and said,

"Then I am proud to crown you, the Queen of the Underworld."
