What I like about you

They asked me what
I see I in you
I told them that
I hadn't a clue

Then I took a moment
I thought for a while
And as I kept thinking
I thought of your smile

I thought of your voice
I thought of your eyes
I thought of your humor
That I always seemed to like

And throughout the time
As I took the long pause
I thought of your mistakes
I thought of your flaws

I thought of your happiness
And your sadness, too
I thought of everything
I thought of you

And as I finished thinking
I knew from the start
That everything about you
Just captured my heart.
