CHAPTER ONE;

All I can hear is his hateful voice calling my name. That deep gruff voice almost mocks me.

My legs feel as if I just ran a 5k, and they were about to give out. I needed a plan fast. I look behind me to see how much of a gap I have from him, enough for a plan. I swiftly make a sharp turn knowing exactly what I'm doing.

"Get back here!" He called making the sharp corner. As if I would listen, I let up a little on my speed. He sensed this and tried to take advantage of it, but, this was only part of my plan.

There was a big T at the end of this street, if I could let him get close enough to me I could fake a right, make the left.

The guy was in pretty good shape, however, I knew I could fake him out at any given time. When I glanced back again, I saw there was about two arms legnths away from me: perfect.

"You can't win!" He called as I rolled my eyes. We were just at the T. I faked the right at just the right momentum where he took a big step right before having to turn around to continue chasing me. Yes! I took three hard steps into the ground and continued sprinting. I bought myself a few more feet to work with, it'd have to be enough to find a good hiding spot.

I pulled as much as I could into this sprint, who knows what this guy would do to me if he caught ahold of me? What the hell did he want?

I turned to see my lead once again but as I did, I felt myself stumble.

Shit. My ankle. I yelped in pain, cursing under my breath. I started wobbling on my left foot where pain I never felt before oozed up my leg. I tried to keep up a good pase, but with ankle, I know I had to find somewhere to hide, fast.

I turned into a darkened alley, then ran behind the delux condos, to a hideout I knew. It wasn't much, but it was the best I could do for now.

I ran under the bridge to the river that flowed through the center of town, and up the rope ladder on the side to the top of the bridge. Hanging upside down with my ankle throbbing.

"You can't hide forever, Taylor! There will always be next time!" I cringed as he ran out of the bridge.

Oh, God. How the hell does this happen to me?

I waited a whole half an hour before limping home, checking every corner carefully before I turned them. With each step all I could think about is how can I protect myself the next time I encounter this guy? My ankle had to at least been sprained. I'm screwed especially because this wasn't the first time this man has tryed to kidnap me.
