Zeref (POV): Today's the day I will revive my younger brother Natsu. Oh how I've missed you, you'll be alive again soon.
*loud growling sounds*
Mavis: Ahh! Someone, anyone help me!!
Zeref (POV): What is girl doing here? Wild creatures lurk in this forest. I know I can't be near any form of life as this curse kills anyone or anything by me, but I must do something.
Zeref walked to the beast with no hesitation and it dropped dead in a matter of seconds. The girl who's voice he heard was in a cave, hiding from the beast who is now dead.
Mavis: Is anyone there, is it safe for me to come out now?
Zeref: No! You mustn't come out until I leave.
Mavis: I- I don't understand.
Zeref: Just do as I say please! I don't want anyone else to get hurt.
Mavis hears Zeref leave and slowly starts to walk out of the cave. She's confused as to why he left so abruptly after saving her life. As she passes through the forest, she wonders about what had happened.
Mavis (POV): I wanted to thank him for saving my life. Oh how careless I am for getting myself into that situation, if it weren't for him I'm not sure what would have happened.
Zeref (POV): I really hope we don't cross paths again, I don't want anyone else to die on my behalf anymore. I wish I could just die. I don't want to suffer like this anymore.
Will Zeref continue to suffer with this curse or will Mavis, the girl he saved, change that?
