Howdie! My apologies for not updating this story for what, a decade already? Kidding. Honestly, I'm so hesitant to continue this story ever since a close friend of mine, she knows who she is, have gone to separate ways. And also, I've been so busy and stuck at my work that I lack motivation to keep writing. Lastly, this new chapter is for my friend who went away and to my other friend who has become my long lasting best friend, namely, Jowee.

I checked at my wristwatch and it's almost 10:00AM. I began to panic as I told the taxi cab to stop the pace of his vehicle. "You okay here?" The cab driver asked and I nodded to agree.
"My friend's going to fetch me in this block." I told him with a rush smile, giving him my fare. I took a deep breathe as I stepped out from the cab, taking glances around the stranger place. Edgar told me to wait at Anne's Bakeshop at Monumento Street, for what reason? I'd be coming over to their family house! For the first time ever.
Edgar was officially invited to play at the ASEAN Integration and today, I was going to help him in his practice as well to create his lineup. Fair enough, but what concern me most was that I had to ask permission from Edgar's parents. Like duh, even though he's quite mature than his age he's still a teenager and under age. He already told his father about the performance but still, I had to back him up.
I'm already here. Where are you?
I texted Edgar and in one minute, my phone rung and he was calling. "Hey, I'm here," I answered.
"Yeah, I'm on my way." Edgar said and ended the call. Little did I know, I was already inhaling deeply. I felt a little nervous because I'd be meeting his parents for the first time, and hey, his dad was the president of our school! Can I really do it? I mean, to successfully ask their permission regarding Edgar's performance? Waaaa...
Edgar called again and said, "I can already see you." I had goosebumps when he said that because I could feel like he was smiling over the phone. It was obvious on his voice.
When I turned around, I saw him in a distant walking towards my direction. He waved a hand at me while ending the phone call, now running to close the distance between us.
"Hey!" He started and I was amazed at how he didn't pant despite the running he just did.
"Hey." I smiled and I noticed the scrutiny in his eyes. Was something wrong on my face?
Edgar tilted his head to the right and said, "Somehow I had instinct that you'd wear your blue coat, but...you sure okay with that? We have tropical climate, you know. It's hot."
I glanced at my coat and shrugged my shoulders, "I'm good at this. Been used to long sleeves, you know." But wait, did Edgar notice that I loved wearing this coat? Ugh, whatever.
