Liam's POV
"You're moving schools" my mum tells me as we drive home from school.
"Alright" I shrug. It isn't new to me.
"I don't know what we're going to do with you" my mum scoffs as she drives and I just continue using my phone.
"Liam James Payne you better listen to what I'm saying so pay close attention" she brakes really hard causing me to drop my phone.
"Fine I'm all ears!" I put my hands in surrender
"If you continue this rebel behavior and you get expelled from one more public school, I won't hesitate on sending you far away to military school" she explains
"Mum why don't just do it now and everyone will be happy to finally get rid of me" I cross my arms and my mum's eyes soften on me
"That's not true, I would hate to sent you away. I know not having a father figure around has affected you but I've tried my best to give you and the girls everything I can" her voice cracks which makes me feel guilty
"I-I just don't know what else to do, all I want is for you to be happy, do well in life so please do me a solid and behave" she puts her hand on my cheek
"Okay mum" I give in.
"Thank you Liam, it's all I ask for" she finally began to drive again
"You'll start on Monday in your new school" she tells me
"Will I have to wear a God awful uniform?" I ask looking down at the one I'm wearing now
"Oh no, you're fine" she answers.
Thank the lord, I think to myself as I reach for my phone
"I have a good feeling about this school, I've heard great things about it. It's a fresh start, you'll make new friends, better friends" she tries to sound excited
"Uh- huh" is all I let out, not really caring that much for the new school I'm attending.
"Please promise that'll you behave well in you're new school and make better friends than from the old one" she begs
"I promise mum" I say
At least it's just one more year of being in a hell hole that high school is. I promised her to avoid trouble that's what I'll do. I need to be the man that she raised me to be.
I still miss him.
My dad RIP.
It's been almost ten years since he's been gone. Since then I've helped my mum around our home. Unlike my sisters who walked out on us since the day they got the chance to do so. They left us in that rabbit hole that we call home.
