Chapter Twelve

"Why are you home? You're suppose to be in school." Said my mom in a slightly angry tone.

I ignored all of it. I walked past her to the kitchen. I stayed quiet and pointed at the table for her to sit, she complied which was awkward.

"Babe did you see where I left -" I heard my new father say as he stood at the door way looking confused.

"Leave" I pointed and that was it before my mom began a fight.

"Who do you think you are throwing around orders?"

"Sit down now."

She had enough and got up looking me dead in the eyes with no emotion, "no"

I laughed I had no humor with my laugh. It was dry, emotionless, it was numbing.

"You win mom." I shook my head, "you get Harry to leave me and now you think you can get me to do as you please?" In that moment I saw my mother panic for the first time ever.

"Sweetie, I can ex-"

"No mom, you can't. You took my happiness away. I wish you could feel a slight bit of what I did. You saw me cry night after night?"

"Is she saying the truth?" Mike said in fear looking at my mom.

"Yes but I can explain I swear."

Instead Mike only shook his head and came to comfort me. With just the slight hug I broke down for what felt like that millionth time. He only hugged me while my mom stood there with regret in her eyes.

"I thought I was helping you Abby. I thought that he would pull you away from you dreams, I thought you'd give everything up for him." She looked down then back up, "I thought you'd end up like me."

"I wouldn't ! You took my happiness away from me threatening him to never ever see me again ? You caused this pain."

"I was afraid he'd sleep with you get you pregnant and you'd be stuck. I didn't want you to lose your innocence to him. He is older I was scared for you. I didn't want you to go through my mistakes."

I had enough I took all the courage I had and began what I knew would ruin my relationship with my mother for a while, "Funny, I did sleep with him. He left the next day because of you, he took my innocence along with my heart." My moms face was in so much anger but before I completely left the kitchen I turned and smiled "I also had sex with my now ex boyfriend Louis."

With that I left the room and walked straight up to mine and grabbed all my bags and began to pack. I have exactly 2 and a half months of school left. I was only running one meet in a week which would determine everything, then I would sit out the rest of the season, so my knee can finish it's healing process. Ten weeks left and I could be gone.

I packed half my room and grabbed my smaller bag that was going to be the one I took to Alexis house for a while, I realized that it was already about to be 6 so I went to pick up Zyan.

"So your leaving to Alexis for a bit aren't you?" Zyan said as we pulled into the house.

"I need to, I need to find myself."

Zyan understood and he opened the door to get out but stopped, "Coach Tom told us Harry was going to finish his assistants somewhere else." I looked up at him "he's not coming back Abby." He gave me a sad look but I only smiled.

"No, Zyan he's going to let me find myself." I look up to Zyan with hope, "he'll find me again."

"I believe he will. Goodnight Abby I love you, see you tomorrow." With that Zyan was gone and walking into our house as I pulled out and went to Alexis.
