Natalie's POV
I sat up in bed to see the sun shining bright and the waves crashing into the shore. The sunlight made the water shimmer and the beach light up. For me, beaches were a place of happiness and luck. Through the balcony doors I saw Hana. She sat there in her yellow sun dress looking over the beach. I smiled thinking how lucky I was to have a companion like her. Hana was my everything. Hana turned her head around to see me staring. I ran up to the balcony and pushed the glass doors open. "Good morning, Baby," I said smiling. I ran up to squeeze her tight, hold her in my arms, and kiss her softly. But before I could even sit next to her on the lawn chair she scooted to the farthest end away from me. I looked at her eyes full of sorrow and weakness. She saw my glare and turned away towards the beach down below.
"Are you okay?" I whispered into the brisk morning breeze.
