Nick's POV~

Aubrey Grace Summers. She was a fucking angel. The girl who would never stop smiling that whole day and night. Her laugh was just so sincere and mesmerizing. Not like other girls that just fake it and it comes out like a cry for help. I couldn't get this girl out of my mind and I didn't want her to leave anyways.

I woke up before her, noticing that she's literally laying on top of me. No, not lying beside me, but on top of me. I felt Nick Senior down there get a little ecstatic and I try to calm myself down.

Think of grandmas! Old, wrinkly, skin flapping everywhere!

"Hey Nick, man I need some more food in this shit hole because- Well, damn. Took her to bed real quick." Alex barged into my bedroom and I scold him for being loud.

"Try to be a little more quiet. I want her to sleep, she was exhausted last night." I state.

"My man, we all know you just want her to stay on top of your dic-"

"Get. Out!" I hiss and he puts his arm up as if he was surrendering.

Alex can drive me nuts sometimes, but he is my brother from another mother. Aubrey began to stir and I pretended to be asleep. She yawns and gasps, realizing our position. She slowly tried to get up and was close, yet I trapped her in a big bear hug.

"I-uh Nick?" She asks, her hair slightly covering her face.

"Hm?"

"I seriously need to pee. I'm about to piss my pants." She bites her lip, playing shy again now are we?

"Go ahead." I let her go and notice her cheeks were shaded light pink.

I'm glad I have that kind of effect on her. Quickly, I throw on a random, old concert t-shirt and join Alex outside in the living room. The clock read 10:35 AM, not too late. Aubrey entered the room, grabbing her shoes and preparing to say goodbye. I didn't want her to leave, but hopefully we will hang out soon again.

"I'll see you guys later." She waves and I wink at her. I hear a faint giggle and I know my job is complete.

"Dude, you seriously got a good looking chick? Gonna play with her or you gonna be serious this time?" Alex asks, giving me a stern look.

I used to be the kind of guy that enjoyed messing around with girls. Reyna never approved and that's mostly why she had to help me break up with them. Amber was the last girl I was attached to, we were fuck buddies for a whole month when I decided to end things.

"Aubrey is different. Before I thought everything was just a game and girls like to be chased. But she's quiet and reserved, you only get to see the true side of her when she lets you. Alex, something happened to her and she won't tell me." I sigh in frustration, looking for advice.

"She'll tell you when she's comfortable. From what I saw this morning, I would say that she might tell you in the next five hours." Alex chuckles and I laugh along.

It kills me seeing her in such sadness. Yesterday was the first time I've ever seen her smile like that before. Her eyes lit up the darkness in my world and her smile made everyone stop and stare for a while. She was breath taking and I would never toy around with her. Reyna would probably haunt me if I did.

Aubrey is just intriguing and I find myself always cheerful when I'm around her. No matter how bad my day sucks, she's there to lift me back up on my feet and support me. Our friendship has bloomed and I want to get to know her more than friends.

I want to be able to feel her soft, plumped lips on mine. Only to have one chance to ravish her body and treat her like a queen, unlike the scum bag who treated her horribly before. If I ever find out what he did or who he is, I'll kill him before the police are able to arrest him.

Aubrey's POV~

"I'm heading out." I adjust my apron and grab my car keys.

Today was Monday, back to work for me. My weekend was pleasant. Spending a whole day with Nick, Courtney, and Alex was worth it. Sunday was relaxing, just reading a book on top of our roof. It was a great weekend overall and although it killed me to begin the week, I wasn't dreading it like I usually do.

"Have a great day!" Courtney exclaims, setting breakfast on the table for her children.

I reach my car and start the engine. While driving, I scan the radio for any catchy songs. Deciding there was none, I put 94.5 on and listened to the daily pop songs that were total hits this year. New Years was around the corner and I couldn't wait to spend it with my friends.

Eventually, I reached the cafe and pulled in. Maybe today I could make amends with Ally and apologize for whatever I did to her. Mother always said its better to be frenemies then enemies. I lock my car and head inside. There she was, her black hair pulled up in a high pony tail and her eyes glaring at me.

I feel the love.

"Uh, hi Ally." I wave and she ignores me.

Be nice Aubrey.

"Can we talk?" I ask politely.

"Did you hear something?" She asks Jess and Jess gave her a, "Are you serious?" kind of look.

"No? I guess it must have been the wind." Ally shrugs her shoulders and that's when I lost it.

I've been way too patient with this spoiled ass brat and in my defense, I didn't do shit! I'm just trying my best to fit in and I bet you Ally never really liked me. Perhaps, she was pretending to be my friend to get close to me and then back stab me like she is now.

"Listen here, princess. I'm sick of your attitude. I came to settle this like adults, yet you won't stop playing your five year old games." I growl.

"At least I'm not an attention seeker, praying that Nick Dorran will notice me. Guess what? He's just going to use you like he did with my friend, Katie. She liked him, you know? He ruined her and now I hear she's sleeping with all the guys now because he hurt her feelings so bad." Ally pouts, angering me more.

Who am I to care about Nick's past relationships? I'm not his girlfriend and I couldn't careless about his games that he plays. Did I feel hurt? Yes, I thought I was different. No way in hell was I going to show Ally that she got to me!

"I guess you're going to end up just like her. A whore seeking attention from anyone that could squeeze between those legs. Maybe that's why you ran away from New York! Did someone catch you working the corner? It is illegal, you do know that correct?" Ally smiles, enjoying this.

"Knock it off, Ally." Jess defends me, clearly unhappy with with this argument.

"I will assure you that I was in a serious relationship in New York and did not sleep with anyone. Nor, do I seek attention here. Thank you for your accusations, Ally. They are fully noted and sadly, claimed false. Take your rumor talking mouth and fake ass body out of this cafe." I stand my ground, gathering up enough courage to defend myself.

Ally stares at me, shooting imaginary daggers at me with her eyes. Then, she takes a deep breath and grins.

"Warren will enjoy hearing about this." Ally blows me a kiss and exits the building.

Jessica whips her head back at the sound of his name. I lost it. Ally knew Warren this whole time. That's why she was so cruel towards me because she was Warren's mistress. She was the woman who would come over when I worked late and it was her lingerie I found underneath the bed. Ally was the one who drugged me the night Warren wanted to take my virginity.

"I- Jess?" I reach for her hand and she clasps it.

"Breathe, Aubrey. Stay with me. You're having a panic attack. Just control your breathing, sweet heart." Jess tells me, holding me close.

That's how Warren got here and found my location. He's known about my personal life, friends, and all the secrets I told them. He knows that Jessica and Courtney know about our past. More importantly, he knows that I've been seeing Nick.

I screamed and finally fell to the floor. Blackness consumed my vision and I could no longer feel panicked anymore.
