Michael's POV

January 1985, Los Angeles

"Man this song is so great, you did a great job with this!", Marlon said after skimming over the lyrics.

"I haven't wrote it all by myself, though. Lionel and Christina were a huge influence to the song as well.", I replied.

"Where is Christina? Feels like I've haven't seen her in ages!", my brother mentioned.

"We were on a little vacation, searching for some song inspiration in different cities.", I told.

Christina always wanted to go on vacation and since our last tour had ended, we decided to go on some road trips.

It wasn't something that people will look up to and say: "They are living the american dream, spending lots of money and party all night..."

We wanted to feel ordinary just like anybody else so we took some time to breathe. It wasn't luxurious but that was the point.

Christina and I were always a great team but this vacation made us bond.

The thought of marrying her intensified.

"Yeah, Janet told me but will Christina come here?", Marlon asked.

"She is already here but I can't see her right now, she'll probably show up when we are recording the song.", I looked around in hope of finding my girlfriend.

"Hello you both!", La Toya called after entering the huge studio.

"Hey, La Toya, it's nice to see you.", I said while hugging her.

"Yeah, it's nice to see you too little brother! Seems like Christina wont let you visit us anymore!", she laughed.

"No, we were on a vacation, she loves you guys. How is Gordon?", I asked my sister.

"He is doing good, as always. So, where is Christina?", La Toya wanted to know.

"I have no idea she wanted to use the.. oh there she is.", I told while looking around the studio.

"What did I miss?", Christina asked after walking to us.

"Girl! Where did your hair go?", La Toya asked laughing before hugging Christina.

"I just wanted to try something new.", Christina chuckled and hugged Marlon.

Christina was beautiful as always, she decided to cut her gorgeous hair a few weeks ago. Even though I loved her long hair, her short hair had something sexy and fun.

Whatever made Christina happy, made me happy and her short hair had many benefits but most important: She got ready a lot sooner.

"It looks amazing, honey!", La Toya smiled.

"Oh, thank you. Gonna put some color into it soon, though.", Christina told.

"What took you so long in there?", I wanted to know.

"Ah yeah, I just met Cyndi Lauper and we talked. It sounds so stupid: I met Cyndi Lauper in the bathroom.", Christina told and cracked up, so did everybody else.

"Girls just wanna have fun, oh girls just wanna have...", La Toya started singing and Christina accompanied her.

"Have you been working on some music lately?", Marlon asked.

"This one is probably the first song I've written in months.", I told.

"What about you Christina?", Marlon wanted to know.
