Summary: the last year of louis and harry's life.
Louis and harry sat at home with their children and grandchildren enjoying the sunshine that shone down on the couples home. louis and harry were both aged 87 with their children aged 34, jenny the oldest of her other sister had 2 children, Edward and Jessica both aged 13 and 15 jess being the oldest Edward the youngest and jenny's sister holly had only one child named Nathan and they both loved their grandparents and louis and harry both loved having them around and being able to watch their children and their children's children grow up and it made them really love the life they had chosen after one direction.
Harry's POV
I looked out at our grandchildren running around the back garden as me and Lou offered to watch them whilst our girls went shopping and just spent some alone time together with partners of their own "Edward careful don't dirty your clothes" Lou spoke, I looked over at him and smiled the way I did when we first met "what you smiling at babe" louis asked "I'm just smiling at you because I love you" I heard Jessica coo at my comment and I turned to her and smiled and asked to help me up so I could go to the bathroom and I knew that I was very lucky to have the life I have lived and the family I have and I knew that if I were to die then I would die happy with louis and my family by my side.
Third Person's POV
when harry returned from the bathroom louis tried to get but whilst doing so he felt something in his back snap he started to fall to the ground in pain but harry and all of his grandchildren went by his side to aid him, harry and his grandchildren carried him into the living room as Nathan rang both his mum and aunty to come straight away and help louis get to bed so harry could look after him once they left.
jenny and holly had arrived in around 5 minuets to help their father, they helped harry get him to their bed so he could rest, really they should of taken him to the hospital but really they knew that getting him up in the condition he's in would only make it worse and that he probably wouldn't survive if they did move him so they left him and harry to their own devices and went home.
*later that night*
harry and louis were lay in bed harrys head on louis chest hands intertwined and legs tangled together as they sat and talked harry could feel louis breath start to get shorter and faster so he sat up and cuddled to his side "louis you promised me forever and always" I said " I did promise you that harry but I cant go on its my time I know it is" louis spoke " I want you to be peaceful when you go babe, I want you to be happy" and with that harry kissed louis, and the same sparks flew just like they did when they were younger. after their kiss harry and louis lay down and just stared at each other until harry saw louis' blue eyes disappear under his eyelids as he let out on last shaky " I love you harry" and little did louis know that at the point harry said the same thing as they drifted off in the peace of death and they both knew that in death they could finally be together they started life together and they had ended life together and both boys died happy with hands intertwined, harry's arms wrapped around louis' waist and louis cuddle to harry's side. and in death they will always have forever.
