Stranded

Chapter 2- The Plan.

  Ok, so here's how it's gonna go down. I'll have to call the school, pretend to be Kayla's mom, and ask her to come to the office to wait to be picked up for a "doctors appointment". I'm right next to Kayla's classroom so I'll get her to get me a change of clothes when she sees me. Well, I guess it's go time. Ring, ring, ring. Come on pick up... I can hear the school's phone ringing from upstairs.

"Hello, New Leaf  HighSchool, how can I help you?" Says the school's secretary.

"Uh... Hello," I say in my best Mrs. Ariata impression. "I'm Kayla's mother- Mrs. Ariata!"

"Oh hello, Mrs. Ariata! What can I help you with?" She replied.

"Ahh yes. Could you please tell Kayla to go to the office? Someone is coming to pick her up for an appointment."

"Sure Mrs. Ariata, she'll be here in a minute."

  I can't believe she bought it! The school pager goes off. Kayla Ariata. Please come to the office. Kayla Ariata. Kayla finally walks out of the classroom.

"KAYLA!!" I exclaim in my loudest whisper.

"Andie?! What's going on? Make it fast...I need to go to the office." She says. Of course, she is anxious to get to the office. What a goody two shoes.

"Don't go to the office, you don't actually need to be there, just come to the bathroom with me and get me a change of clothes!" I say quickly.

"But-" she tries to say but I grab her by the arm and drag her along with me. She gets a pair of her gym clothes and we walk into the bathroom.

"What did you get yourself into this time, Andie?" Kayla says in her "I'm so disappointed in you Andie" voice. She uses this voice a lot. I then begin to explain the whole situation.

"Andie, you need to focus more. School isn't all about fun and games." Kayla says.

"Yes, mom," I say sarcastically.

"I'm serious Andie, I'm kind of worried about you. The stuff you learn in school could really help you later in life." She replies.

"Whatever," I say rolling my eyes. "It's all useless anyway".

"Just take the clothes and go to class," Kayla says angrily.

  Kayla has never really been this mad at me. Why though? I've done way crazier stunts in the past and she's never been THAT angry at me. I wonder what's up with her? Anyways, I guess she's right, I should get to class before I get detention- AGAIN.
