Bittersweet

I pick up the phone to my suprise
A voice I yearned for is what I heard
I smiled thinking of a new hope
Finally you made a move
All I did was wait patiently as you took your time
I listened to every creak and tone there is to your voice
Something was not okay .. You were not Okay

I asked for you to talk ...
You opened your heart
You cried out loud
That broke my heart
I felt my world collide as
I heard you confide, release and breaking down
That instant I wanted to be by your side

I wasn't glad you were barely holding on ,
When you told me " I didn't call for you to fix my problems, I just called because hearing your voice was the solution."
