I can't believe what just happened. Nothing seems real. The anger I feel is like a fire inside that's pushing my legs faster and faster. I won't stop until I get to the place I need to get to, but I need to stop. My body won't hold myself if I push it like I have been.

I decide to stop near a creek to rest for a few minutes. The water is so refreshing. The cool liquid runs down my throat, relaxing me. I take a deep breath. Surprisingly, I'm not sweating too badly due to how much I've run lately. I fold my legs underneath me, trying to replenish my energy. I need a break. I need time to take in everything that happened, but I don't want to. I don't want to think about how Momma tried to replace me with Apollo. How is it possible that a foal is not good enough for their dam?

After a few moments, I decide it's time for me to head out. I stand up on my hooves and stretch my legs. As I'm about to head out, I spot something in the distance I wished never to see again, Apollo. This is not happening! He start sprinting towards me. I canter off, showing that I don't want to talk to him but wanting him to catch up just so I can beat him up to prove a point.

Apollo nears closer. Once he is a few feet behind me, I halt which throws him off guard. He tries to do the same but falls instead. I kick at him, hard, causing him to fall again but he gets up quickly, trying to mask the pain. I stare at him with my death glare, ears pinned. I show nothing but anger towards him. One wrong move and I will strike.

"I thought I made it clear that I don't want you near me." I snap.

"I know, I know, but I couldn't just leave you alone. I needed to-"

"You needed to what? Apologize? Make it up to me? No! You lied to me about one of the most important details. I can't forgive you for that. You can't just tell me how much you love me and make it all better. I'm not like the other mustangs in the herd. I..." My rant trails off as the sun starts to set and I see lights turn on in the distance. My pinned ears perk up. I found it!

My gaze trails over to Apollo's confused and hurt look. I don't even care anymore. I found what I was looking for. I take off past Apollo. I run full speed to my desired destination. I finally found it! I sprint faster and faster. Apollo is trying to follow but the pain from my kick caused him to slow down a bit.

I whinny at the top of my lungs, hoping it will catch his attention. I need him to hear me. I need him to know that I didn't forget about him.

I'm here. I'm home. I spot him standing in front of the pen I escaped from. I whinny again catching his attention. A smile forms on his face as I approach him. I slow my pace when I enter the area. I run my head against his body, showing that I missed him. He strokes my head and wraps his arm around me. I found him. I found Mike. I'm finally home.
