Chapter 6: The Phone Call

CHAPTER 6: 

I opened my closet door rummaging through my clothes to find something nice to wear than some plain button down plaid shirts that I usually wear. 

Today was my audition, and I have to make a good first impression. 

Today is also going to be my day returning back to school since I took a day off because of the basketball incident. 

It worries me that I wasn't in school yestersay. As unrealistic as this is: I could have monitored Meredith to see if she said anything to Amanda. 

After finally deciding to go with the blue t-shirt, I go downstairs and follow my routine of cereal + Gmail. 

Only Harry and Cam were on. 

me: Morning guys, where's Alex? 

Harry: what? we're not good enough? :p lol I think she still might be asleep, she said there wasn't any marching band practice for her. 

Cameron: Morning. So what's new guys? 

Harry: eh, the same old... I have a math test today that I will successfully fail :D 

Cameron: that's the spirit! lol jk 

me: I'm going to audition for my school's Glee Club 

Cameron: Today? 

Harry: wow, you never told us you could sing! 

me: I know, I haven't told anyone or let anyone hear me. which is why I'm so nervous for this D: and yes its today.  

I'm planning to sing "Clarity" by Zedd. 

Cameron: You'll do fine :) 

Harry: yup! just you know... dont forget thr lyrics, don't trip on stage. don't arrive late. don't freeze up. Don't let your voice accidentally crack.  Good luck!

me: lol -_- I hate you. Okay well my bus is about to arrive in like 5 minutes. Could you guys come online before my auditons start today at like 4? I might need some last minute pep talk. 

Harry: OKAY :D 

me: USEFUL pep talk. 

Cameron: I think I could, it'll still be school hours for me but I'll try. 

Harry: Hold on, I don't think I can... I have baseball practice afterschool. But at the least I'll send you an email, you'll do kick-ass. don't worry :D 

me: lol thanks guys, ill talk to ya later then.

I stand outside the auditorium where the other students line up outside waiting until 4 PM hits so that the doors would open. 

I guess I came a bit early since there were only ten or twelve people lined up. 

Even though there is about 20 minutes until 4 PM, my heart starts beating so hard it feels like it will explode at one point. 

To calm myself down I take a walk around the school while taking deep breathes to steady my heart beat. I could feel tiny droplets of sweat gathering up on forehead. Great.  

I'm known for my terrible anxiety. I get so nervous and stress out and it always ends negatively. 

My phone starts to vibrate and I look down to see that Cam is online.
