Scene - Badlandsx1989

Scene 1

[Percy and his 11 year old son, Angeles, are standing in the surf. The camera is angled to show their entire form as the waves crash against their legs.]

Angeles: So, can you please tell me why we're here?

Percy: [shrugs] There is someone I want you to meet.

Angeles: Dang, Uncle Jason was right. You want to kill me.

Percy: [cocks an eyebrow] Yeah, stop talking to Uncle Jase.

Angeles: Fine, but Uncle Nico scares me.

Percy: Angelo-

Angeles: [interrupts] Stop calling me that.

Percy: Angelo, [holds hand up] I guess you can say your mother and I were never too keen on talking about your grandparents.

Angeles: [snorts] Guess.

Percy: [nods] I had that coming. Anyway, you now are about to find out why, so just try to remember, that whatever happens, this was all your mother's idea.

Angeles: Was it?

Percy: [shakes head]

[Angeles tries to protest but before he can start, him and his father start evaporating until they disappear completely and reappear underwater, a half-fish half-human with green eyes and black hair standing-well, floating-in front of them, and a grand palace behind it/him/whatever]

Angeles: [His eyes widen and his cheeks puff out as he extends his hands upward and tries to swim back to the surface]

Percy: Oh relax, you can breathe underwater.

Scene 2

[Angeles was standing with his big green eyes wide as they moved from his dad to the hybrid creature in front of him, and occasionally flicked to the castle behind said hybrid creature. The camera showed his face, then the fish dude's, then Percy's amused expression.]

Angeles: Okay, you got me, joke's over.

Poseidon: Oh, if only he knew.

Angeles: Knew what?

Percy: [ignores him] Hey, father. [hugs Poseidon]

Angeles: Yeah, okay. [makes air quotes] Sure.

Poseidon: [stares]

Angeles: [cocks an eyebrow] What?

Poseidon: Aren't you going to give your grandpappy a hug?

Angeles: Pass.

Poseidon: [camera zooms in to show him roll his eyes and glance at Percy as if saying, 'Couldn't you have explained it all to him before bringing him down here?']

Percy: [holds hands up innocently]

Poseidon: [cracks fake smile] Let's go inside.

Scene 3

[All three males are in a courtyard. They are sitting at a picnic table and eating cheeseburgers (wonder who suggested that). Camera is angled to show Angeles as he glances at his dad, then the hybrid creature, then his dad, and finally clears his throat]

Angeles: Can someone please explain to me how I can breathe, talk, eat, move and frankly exist in this general environment, at this general depth, in this particular universe?

Poseidon: [camera changes to show Poseidon] Well the question isn't how, it's what. As in what are you?

Angeles: Normal.
