~~First day of school~~

(Niall Grade 2, Marissa Junior kindergarten)

I'm standing at the door of my classroom for my very first day of school I look up at my parents then at my three big brothers, wellllll one isn't really my brother but he issss my bestest friend ever! I was so excited to go to school with them finally! They told me all about school and I can't wait!! I just finished hugging everyone and I started walking into my class when Niall suddenly yelled "waittt I have to do somethingg" and he kissed my cheek so I scream "EWWW COOTIESS" and wipe my cheek Niall frowned then had a big smile and whispered "it doesn't count when it's your bestest friend Murf" I hugged him again since he was right and walked into class.

The whole day was great!! well that was until snack time...the teacher told me I could pick up snacks from the snack room ANDD I get to pick a friend to bring with me, so I picked a girl I was playing barbies with in free time earlier. We got the food and were carrying this bag full of snacks for everyone to the classroom.

As I went to go upstairs these random boys from another class came rushing down the stairs nudging me hard, I fell down on the ground and they yanked the bag from us so I start crying "meany boy that's not yours" the boy who pushed me started mocking me and saying "boys rule girls drool!" He laughed with his friends and was about to leave with our snacks when Niall suddenly came out of nowhere standing in front of them blocking the mean boys way. WOAH! I didn't even see him there!! Niall just stood there with his hands in a fist and since Niall is older than all of us he towered over us a little, The boys just ran away dropping the bag Niall hugged me tightly whispering "I got your back don't listen to those meany heads" I just smiled then
I let Niall steal one of the snacks from the bag as we cleaned up.

~~5 years later~~

(Niall Grade 7, Marissa grade 4)

Niall and I were eating our lunch when some girl walked beside Niall, she just stood there for a few seconds before blurting out "why are you hanging out with a little baby" I stayed quiet trying not to get upset, and looked down, Niall moved closer to me smiling down at me then gave the girl a dirty look "why would I listen to a mean jealous girl, who is hating on my best friend for no reason might I add" the girl huffed turning around and walked away, Niall hugged me tightly telling me "now don't worry about what others say, oh and remember your amazing my little Murf, here let's make a promise now" he kissed my cheek and wrapped both his pinkies around mine and whispered a promise I would never forget.

~~1 year after that~~

(Niall Grade 8 Marissa grade 5)

It's the last day of school for Niall and he is going to high school next year and today is his graduation, I don't know how I can do this alone, without my bestest friend who has always been in the same school as me. Before he went on stage he came over to me hugged me and handed me a tiny box beaming "I have been saving up for this for the last little while and got this for you"
