my eyes flutter open to darkness.

i sit up slowly, my arms aching from the pressure i put on them.
i'm.. in the hospital.
my eyes manoeuvre themselves to the glimmer of light from the window where the night sky is fully visible. the crescent moon and the stars littering the raven night brights up the gloomy outside where nothing seems to be moving. as if time stopped.
how can a cruel world be so beautiful?
