"Steady as she goes, lads!" Edward's voice boomed from the top deck.
Grace had just awoken, her eyes still half open due to the lack of sleep. Luckily for her Edward didn't snore in his sleep. What he did though was having nightmares. The whole night Grace had been trying to decide whether or not she should wake him. When she didn't come to a conclusion she just stayed on the other side of the bed, far away from him.
Now she had just put some new clothes on. The white gown that had nearly been torn apart wasn't something she was planning to wear anymore. So now she was wearing some slim black pants with dark brown knee length boots she had found in Edward's closet with a white top and a blue coat that reached till her knees.
She finished it all of with a red cloth that she bound around her waist where she could put some daggers and throwing knives she had found in the cabin in.
Sighing, Grace left the cabin and was soon met with the blinding sun light. Covering her face with her hand, Grace looked around the deck. The men where all keeping to their jobs, probably not even noticing she got out. Until they did when she closed the door. The men on the deck all looked at her, some with a look that even Grace found uncomfortable.
"Has she said anything yet?" Grace heard Bonnie's voice from behind, behind the wheel.
"Not yet." Edward answerred. "She's a tough one."
"How do you plan on getting the information out of her then?"
"First I will try asking, when it doesn't work... Well, lass, you know what that means." Edward sighed, oblivious to the fact that Grace was eavesdropping. "When I've finished this mission I can go back to Jenny. Right now that's all I want. I don't care what she'll make me do, I just want to go home."
"There she is!!" Some men yelled at her. Grace sighed and rolled her eyes, knowing now Edward knew she was there. Grace walked towards the wheel where she saw Edward talking with Bonnie, a woman with red hair.
"Just ignore them." Bonnie advised while looking at Grace.
"Captain." Grace nodded at him and stood on his other side.
"Changed your mind about telling me, lass?" Edward asked while still steering the ship.
"Nope." Grace said, popping the p.
"Ship ahoy!" Someone yelled.
"Give me my spyglass." Edward extended his arm toward Bonnie. She took the object and placed it in his hand.
"What is it?" Grace looked into the distance, trying to make out the flag it was showing. It was no spaniard and no Englishmen, also not a Portugese. It was flying a flag that was all too familiar to Grace.
"Edward-" Grace muttered.
"Man the cannons!" Edward yelled, ignoring Grace.
"Who is it?" Bonnie frowned.
"I don't know. But they're ready to fire at us, yet they haven't."
"Do you think they mean to board us?"
"I think so." Edward looked at Bonnie briefly.
"Wait, Edward, you can't." Grace laid her hand on his arm to get his attention. "I know these people, they've come for me. If you could just drop a boat I can get to them myself."
"And why would I let you do that?"
"Because if you don't, they'll blow you to pieces." Grace warned. Edward scoffed and shook his head, unimpressed. "Look, you don't know these people like I do. They're stronger than the averge human, they're... Inhuman."
