Scarlet's gaze swivelled about the room. She was in an underground chamber beneath the hut. Bound by silver chains that cut painfully into her skin, Scarlet swung her gaze to Nick, who sat inches away. All of their mouths were covered by duct tape and their arms and legs were strapped to the bars of their cells. Alex and Ariel were in one cell, Scarlet and Nick in the other, Sin was lying unconscious on the floor at the disposal of one of the Skinners.
Scarlet couldn't believe they were werewolves, why did they hurt their own kind? She struggled against the chains once more and the guard rose, kicking Sin in the ribs to roll her over, and stalked towards Scarlet.
"Restless, aren't you?" He smirked and traced his fingers along Scarlet's jaw. She winced as he spoke again, "You won't be getting out of those chains for a while, sweetie. Do you need something to do?" He snickered and tilted Scarlet's head up at his devious one. "I can think of something," He murmured and leaned forward. Scarlet lashed out, writhing under his weight. Her nails dug into the creep's skin and he jumped back, blood already seeping through his skin.
"Quit playing with the young one, she mustn't be tampered with." A deep voice commanded as a burly man trotted down the steps. He had a perfect goatee and chocolaty eyes, one of which looked a little milky, there was a scar that cut through the top and bottom of that eye.
"Oh, 'allo Captain." The creep flashed a yellowed grin and jogged over to stand beside the "captain".
"I told you already, call me Ron." He said gruffly. Ron had a thick accent, one unknown by the werewolf hunters and the couple. Ron sauntered over to a worktable and put on some brown worker's gloves. Then he knelt in front of Scarlet and started undoing the silver chains.
"Now then, we can do this easy way, or hard way." Ron bargained, English obviously not his first language.
Scarlet stared into his solid eyes and forbade herself from flinching. She narrowed her eyes and growled slightly, Ron only chuckled. Whatever the easy way was, Scarlet doubted she would agree to it. Ron ripped off the duct tape swiftly and waited patiently for Scarlet's answer. She didn't give one at first, and instead pursed her lips as she started thinking of any possible way to escape the hut. But the paths her mind pondered all came to an abrupt halt as Scarlet couldn't do much with the chains strapping her down, and she knew she wouldn't be freed until she gave Ron her answer.
"What in bloody hell do you want me to do?" She asked tensely, gritting her teeth and digging her nails into her palms. She had an idea, it was a poor one and the time for an opportunity was small, but an idea none the less.
"That's the spirit," Ron chortled and kept unhooking the chains, "All you need to do, is Change."
Scarlet narrowed her eyes even more until they were slits, "What's the catch?" She whispered.
"There is no catch, you Change and we'll take care of the rest."
Scarlet wasn't sure what "take care" meant to these wolves and she was going to take a leap of faith and agree.
"I'll Change, on one condition."
Ron rolled his eyes, "What is with you hostages? Can't we get a simple meal around here, eh?" His comrades laughed mirthfully.
Meal? What on earth does he mean by that? Scarlet thought. Then it dawned on her, who these monsters really were. She couldn't say it out loud, then Nick would protest to her plan.
"I want them all to go free. Then I'll Change." She bargained.
Ron sighed and motioned for his men to free the other prisoners.
