fleeting

It's fleeting,

And a bit immature

That I anger myself every minute

For letting it go on this long

From my side

Of the one-sided table

After all the ties were cut

And wonder why

I picked someone exactly like me

To set within my sights

I put my heart on my sleeve

It wasn't all bad.

I don't regret my first love

But then again, it will always pain me

To watch you waltz off into the sunset

With her, looking so happy

And I'm here, on the sidelines

With another untouchable within my sights,

Regretting this horrible, fleeting thing,

Known as love.
