Locked Heart

I only own the poem. I've seen stories/songs with this idea around it. I liked the idea so I used it. Please don't be mad if your story is like this. No hate please! However, constructive criticism is welcomed. Sorry if it sucks! I know that these need lots of work.

Why did you lie?
Why did you leave?
You said that you wouldn't
It was all just a lie.
I should have known
To never trust a heartbreaker.
It's all over now
It's buried in the past.
And it's never coming back.

You never cared about me.
It was always just a joke.
A sick, cruel lie
That you hid so well.

Your smile was fake
And so was your mask.
My love was real
And I was foolish.
But the love is gone
And my foolishness too.

Apparently it was fun to play
With a heart that's being slayed
You took pride in the way
You broke my heart.
Never again will it break.
It will be locked away,
As long as hatred exists
And the day becomes night.
The light inside is gone
And I am forever done.
