The next morning Aria was lost in deep thought. Memories of the previous day entered her thoughts and it knocked her into a sense of nothing.
She didn't understand Shin.
What did he want from her?She wished she could understand his train of thoughts.
That was when she heard a loud crash down the hall. Shin was down the hall! She ran as fast as her feet could take her ignoring the ringing noise resonating in her ear.
"Please...Reach... him" she whispered to herself forcing her feey to run even faster and faster with each step.
She traced the sound of the crash to the boy's toilet and not even hesitating for one second she ran in there to find Shin surrounded by glass with a bloody palm.
Her first thought should have been to look at his injured hand, that would have been a normal reaction but...what she concentrated on the most was the glass on the ground. The glass looked like snow falling and accumulating into large groups.Like Protons elected to Neutrons.
Aria sunk to the ground holding her head in her hands, trembling like a new born fawn she suddenly became afraid. Afraid of the glass, afraid of the unatural pureness.
That was when she suddenly remembered something.
Glass shattering as she fell, shocked faces and...Blood.With a large bang she died that day.
She wasn't allowed to live. She couldn't. She would have died anyway. Now or later, it was a predestined fate.
But near the end she wanted to live.
For no reason she clung onto life desperately. She had always accepted it yet all of a sudden she was scared to die! How pathetic but at the same time how beautiful it was. As she fell she was so ready to give up but at the same time fight.
"What a beautiful memory..." she muttered when her vision started to refocus to her reality and the first thing she saw was Shin's shocked face. He probably already realized what was going on. He probably already knew what she was thinking.
But she ended up in a coma. Again.
----------------------------------------
The lucky news was that Aria wasn't going to have a long coma, she would wake up in a few days.
The worst thing that could happen is that the doctor's prediction was wrong and the coma would last longer than he had thought.
But for now all she needed was a few days of rest.
Shin was glad to hear that she wasn't in immediate danger but he knew what just happened. He heard what she said.
"What a beautiful memory..."
Shin became impatient. She was going to gain all her memories at this rate, slowly she would remember how much she hated him! His plan would fail and everything will go to how it use to, they would slowly become apart once more like they used to in the now distant past.
He could only pray that this recent event had wiped out her memory and she forgot everything so that he could restore her memory from scratch once more. He could do it again. As many times as she needed and he won't end it. He won't let it.
He waited by her bedside watching her breath slowly in her oxygen mask. The white fog seemed like a snowy paradise, a snow globe with nothing but dust inside.
She was so beautiful, so, pure.
Shin was so busy watching Aria sleep that he couldn't sense Ace opening the hospital door and waltzing through like he owned the place.
"I was right to blame you, bastard." Ace stated glaring straight at Shin.
"You wouldn't understand anything...it would take hours to explain to a fool like you." Shin retorted.
The two continued glaring at each other filling the air with a kind of icy suspense. These 2 loved Aria for different reasons. They were opposite yet they shared the feeling of how drawn to Aria they both were.
Attraction, love, lust, intetest.
These were all the feelings these men currently felt. The intensities of her words and the shadows of her soul drawn them to her. A person who could give love and recieve love in return. They both wanted her but only one could reach her, only one could have a happy ending.
Ace broke the glaring contest, turning his gaze onto the hospital bed with Aria lying inside it. Her breath was slow and shallow, it was like she knew they were both there but couldn't physically show it.
"Tell me everything that happened." Ace demanded softly never taking his eyes off of her. He wanted answers and he wanted them now.
Shin sighed softly before getting up and stroking Aria's pale cheeks "Ace, remember this. No one can love her more than I can. She was always protecting me so now I will protect her."
For some reason this irked Ace so he grabbed Shin by the collar and shook him. "Just give up already!! Please...Both of you look so hurt. Why are you all suffering like this?!"
"Hahahaha." Shin chuckled "Hey Ace, what does it mean to forgive? Does it mean to forget and move on? Or does it mean to pretend it never happened? Me and Aria can do neither of these things."
"What are you talking about?" Ace questioned still holding Shin by his collar getting crumpled in Ace's grasp.
"Aria can never forgive me and I am incapable of forgiving myself as well. If I could be forgiven it would have have already happened.""What did you do for her to never forgive you?"
Shin gave a small smirk "Do you honestly want to know?"
That smirk sent shivers down Ace's spine and he felt the insane thoughts residing currently inside Shin. Like a black swirly pool that could destroy anyone it get it's hands on.
"Haha...Hahahahaha!" Shin laughed imsanely. "If you think that you know anything about Aria you're wrong. You don't know anything."
"What the hell?!"
"I was with her the longest. The person who needs her love the most is me! You know if I told you why she lost her memories then you would stay away from her. Because no else understood her."
"Why are you so confident jackass?"
"...Because I am the only one who loves her for who she is. No one else loves...not even her family." The last part was whispered sharply and Ace couldn't pick up the last part but he understood then that Shin knew everything about Aria.
Every last thing.
