Rain splattered on the abandoned road, on the empty sidewalks, and on the roof of a lone silver Jetta as it made its way down the rain soaked pavement. The girl sitting behind the wheel tapped her fingers impatiently on the glitter covered steering wheel, actually her entire car was covered in glitter, too many nights and too many parties left her car a moving glitter can. She turned right onto a well remembered street and then onto an even better remembered driveway, she stopped the car but didn't bother turning it off, the man she had come to meet would be out in only a moment. She looked toward the still dark two-story house as she continued to rap her fingers against the steering wheel, she gnawed her lip as the familiar dark shape slipped out of the front door and into the passenger seat of her car. She put the car in reverse and pulled quickly out onto the before mentioned rainy street, she cast a glance over to the man sitting next to her.

"How has she been?" She muttered, letting her accent slip through her often very average American tongue, covering her true tongue with the American accent was something she'd learned to do a long time ago. He laughed,

"You saw her just this morning." She shook her head slightly,

"I was talking about Jewel actually." He stiffened,

"Shouldn't you be asking Lin then?" He asked feigning nonchalant she laughed.

"Don't even act like you haven't been keeping an eye on her James." He opened his mouth as if to reply only to be cut off by the driver on this rainy road.

"I know what you said James, but you have to still be on alert for any type of danger." He laughed bitterly,

"As far as I'm concerned, you're the only danger here."
