Call me crazy. ‛Cause I know without you I would be good(Tamar Braxton)

CORDYN

I sat in my car. Outside the hospital. With my father...in the passenger seat.
"Son.."
He placed his hand on my shoulder.
"This is my fault. If I hadn't been so naive none of this would be happening."
He chuckled.
"It wasn't your fault. You learn from the mistakes you make, and you've learned a great deal."
I nodded.
"And so have I.",he said.
I sat there in a daze. I didn't know if Jas was okay or even if the baby was okay. All I know is we'll make it through together.
"As long as their dead you have nothing to worry about."
I gulped down a forming lump in my throat.
"Right. Let's go."
I quickly got out of my car, before my father saw the look on my face.
****
"Baby.",I croaked out.
She turned and looked at me with tears in her eyes.
"Hey baby."
She broke down into tears after saying those words. I could do nothing but hold her. Nothing but hold onto myself. Hold onto hope.
This whole situation is fucked up. Its fucked up and it keeps getting worst.
She pecked my lips before falling asleep in my arms.
No words were needed. This is all she needed to say.
This is all I needed to hear.
I smiled down at her before slipping out of the room.
"Is she okay?",everybody asked rushing up to me.
"Y-yeah. She's just emotional."
They nodded.
"I'm coming back in the morning. I can't be in hospitals. Its fucking with my hormones.",Erica said.
We all chuckled.
"Aye I'll holla' at you tommorow bruh.",Jo said.
We briefly hugged and Damon head nodded me.
I guess he's straight now.
I shrugged and stood next to my dad.
"I know something ain't right but I'll find out later.",he patted my back.
"Get some rest son."
He walked away from me and I stared at his back.
I don't know why but I couldn't help but think of my mother. I needed her right now more than ever.
More than anything.
I felt tears building in my eyes but I couldn't help them.
The thoughts of last night slipped into my mind.

Last night...
"Come on. In the bathroom. We have a business transaction we can discuss since you were so gullible."
He pushed me into the bathroom but all I could think about was the taste of strawberries on my lips.
Once he closed the bathroom door he gave me an evil smirk.
I feared for Jas and my babyboy inside her.
"Look. I appreciate you and all you've done. You were gullible enough to let me stay in your friends house."
He smiled evily as I felt my temperature rise. This bitch ass mother fucker knew exactly what the hell he was doing. Not only that, he played us fucking all.
Just kill me already.
I stared him directly in his eyes and quickly got an idea.
"You're right."
I smirked.
"Shoot me you bitch."
He chuckled as his reflection bounced off of the metal walls.
"Gladly."
In what seemed to move in slow motion, I quickly ducked and he shot the wall.
As I expected, the bullet ricocheted off of the wall and into his chest.
I grabbed the gun out of his hand before hearing another loud bang.
This time, I knew it meant something good.

"Sir are you okay?",a nurse asked.
Snapping me out of my flashback.
"Y-yeah. I'm good. Where's the food court."
She chuckled at me before pointing down the hall.
"Down the hall, take the elevator up one floor, right, first door take another right and its big and bold you can't miss it."
I nodded.
"Thankyou."
I chanted her directions the whole way.
As I approached the first door I passed the critical care door.
Somebody was in surgery.
I don't know what the fuck compelled me to read the persons chart but I did.
The name was new to me.
The chart read:
•man in his mid 40's
•shot in the chest
•found with a deceased girl
•found in an old warehouse

The breath I had stopped midway in my chest.
I peeked through into the room and faintly saw an evil grin.
