Chapter 21

Naruto's POV:-

"For the billionth time Neji, I will drop her on time!" I say, on the edge of snapping.

"Geez Neji! He will drop her on time. Stop fretting over it." Tenten says, already annoyed.

"Okay, okay. But you better-"

"Oh just shut up for God's sake, Neji. Let those two be for some alone time. Now come on." Tenten says dragging him away as he continues glaring at me.

I glare back with a scowl on my face when I hear a giggle.

I turn to see Hinata giggling. She catches my scowl turning into a grin and her eyes widen.

I grin and attack her, tickling her. She burst out laughing yelling and pleading to stop. Her laugh was enchanting. I laugh at her feeble attempt to escape my tickle attack.

I finally stop and help her up. We start walking and her hands slide down my hand and intertwine with my fingers and she rests her head on my shoulder. I smile. I love this warm feeling when she's with me.

"I never told you how I feel about you the way I wanted to."

"You said you like me." She smiles at me.

'That I did but I missed a very important part."

"You said it. That's what matters. But if you still want to, I am all ears."

We had reached the park by now and I quickly close her eyes, covering them with the palm of my hand.

"Naruto-kun. Have we already reached the special place?"

"Yeah just bear with me for few more moments."

I guide her through the park to the special point. I take my hands off her eyes and she looks at me, puzzled. I point my hand towards the sky. Her eyes travel to sky and she stares in wonder.

Thousands of stars filled the sky, twinkling. I watch as her eyes shine and dart all over the place trying to catch everything in one single shot.

I tap on her shoulder and she turns to look at me with wonder in her eyes. I smile and lead her to the platform, I had built for this special purpose. I help her climb up. She looks around wondering the reason for this platform. She gives me a confused look and I laugh at how cute she is.

I clap my hands and the bulbs light up. Her eyes dart to the source of sudden lights and her eyes widen. I follow her gaze to the ground below, where I had arranged some old fashioned bulbs in a pattern asking her a simple question.

Will you go out on a date with me??

I fall on one knee and take her hand in mine.

"I know this is really cheesy but I become like this when I am with you and I love it!" She chuckles with tears forming in her eyes. She shakes her head and stares at me, as if to take every moment in her and remember it forever. My heart warms at this action and I smile wider.

"Hinata Hyuuga, you agreed to be my girlfriend but we didn't have a proper first date. So, would you do me the honour of going out on a date with me?" I smile.

She gets down on her knees so now she is at my level. Her palms cover either side of my face as she leans in and kisses me. I pull her close and kiss her back, my arms around her waist.

She pulls back and smiles, wiping a tear from the corner of her eyes.

"I would love to go on a date with you." She says and I pull her in to kiss again.
