You stare so lost when lines are crossed
                                                        But need much more
You feel your heart beating apart
                                                         Lying on the floor
And now the questions start to come
Why do you still feel left undone?
But all I want to know

"How was your first day, honey?" Lydia's mother asked, setting a plate down at the counter for her.

Her eyes felt heavy as she had just finished all her homework. She put her face on her hand as she groaned.

"So it was bad?" her mother frowned. Lydia shot her head up and shook her head.

"Oh no! Today was fine, I'm just tired," she grumbled as she picked her food with the end of her fork. Moving the slightly burnt pieces of the steak aside.

Her mother began washing her own dish she had earlier. "Oh well, it is high school, sweetie."

Lydia decided to take a bite of her steak and it felt good to actually eat something that didn't look like prison food from earlier today.

"Mom, I'm gonna go upstairs and get ready for bed," she looked at the clock, seeing it was quarter to eleven. It was getting pretty late, and she was really tired.

Her mother froze as she looked down at the plate of full of food. "You didn't finish you diner though,"

She sat up and went towards the stairs. "I'm just not hungry, sorry," she said right after she yawned. Her mother nodded, understanding.

"Ok, good night, sweetie," she said, and Lydia came over to give a peck on her cheek. She then headed upstairs.

Man, today was a drag.

She opened the door to her room, some books next to her bed on the nightstand, her walls painted a dark purple, and some white butterflies above her bed. She hasn't changed her in since she was a little girl.

She turned on the lamp, outside she could see the lights from the city buildings and cars raced by passed her street.

Her bed creaked as she plopped down on the bed. She sighed, her eyes ready to close any minute now. She turned around to see a picture frame on her nightstand.

The picture was her mother, herself, and her father. She looked so young, all smiles on everyone faces. That was ages ago...

Now it was just Lydia and her mother.

The only ones that stayed together through it all.

Her father wouldn't like to live here anyways...Lydia's mother and him didn't work out so well anyways.

And that guy...that guy who had saved her from a few nights ago...she's partners with him. That seems ironic. And weird. Plus, he's so lazy!

She's probably gonna fail because of him.

Stop thinking about today!

She smiled softly at the picture, and then she had closed her eyes. She was already in her pajamas luckily, so she could just relax.

Her eyes began to shut as she drifted into her sleep. God, another day tomorrow of school. She sighed. Let's see if I can survive with that guy and his dumbness.

She then stopped thinking and sleep finally consumed her.

We are the one, we are the only ones
The only sun in your sky
                                                                    (Ahhhhh)
As we come can you hear the drums
                                                   Counting moments of life?
                                                                   (Ahhhhh)
