"Come on Mum! You said we'd go at 9 o'clock, it's already 9:01!" Esme called impatiently up the stairs. "Ok ok, I'm coming!!" Came a muffled reply from upstairs. Esme had a clear plan in her head; they would go to the shop, pick out some nice toys and a cage and then choose her hamster. She had been waiting for this day for months; planning colourful cage themes, thinking of cute names, and most of all, planning what her hamster would look like. She came up with endless possibilities; a fluffy white female called snowflake, or maybe a fuzzy brown male called teddy, or even a sleek golden female with a white chest and paws called Daisy. The possibilities were endless.
