(One year later. STILL)
"GET UP! EWW! GET UP NOW!" Screamed Emily as she ripped the covers off of Chris's moist body.
"What's happening Em, did he get you too?" Said a worried half asleep Chris.
"WHAT? NOOOOO! what are you talking about" a little bit jealous that Chris still has dreams about Josh and not her. "You had one of those dreams about Josh again, and now the bed is DRENCHED in your SWEAT!"
I had another dream about him? I wonder what it was about?
"I'm sorry hon... Did I perhaps say anything in my dreams..."
"NO, you only howled Josh's name a million times. It woke me up from my beauty sleep. I'm taking a shower to wash off your sweat. You need to go throw those sheets in the wash."
"Ok mom!" Said Chris before rolling his eyes and laying back down in bed. As he stared up at the ceiling he saw a million cracks that seemed to make up a face.
Those cracks...look just like his face. I miss him...
A single tear comes trickling down Chris's face, as Emily comes back into the room realizing that she had forgotten a shirt.
"ARE YOU CRYING?! Your such a nerd." Emily said while walking into the bathroom laughing.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The noise startled Chris so badly that he fell out of bed.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The recurrence of the noise caused Chris to remember the dream he had that scared him so much.
Am I still dreaming? Is Josh outside the door?
A mix of emotions went through his mind. Confusion, happiness, and he was even a little bit scared.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
"WOULD YOU GET THE FUCKING DOOR ALREADY!!!" Screamed Emily from the shower.
Chris immediately got up from where he fell and ran to the door. He opened it to find a police officer. A little relieved that it wasn't Josh, Chris sighed with despair.
"Are you Christopher?" Said the police officer.
"Yes. Hey, aren't you one of the officers that rescued us from the mountain last year? Is- Is something wrong? Why are you here?" Chris asked worriedly.
"We have news about your friend Joshua."
