I watched as the rain hit the ground gracefully as the thought in my head kept replaying like a broken CD, Lilth was gone.

I know what your probably thinking, who is Lilth and is she dead? Lilth is my best friend since I could have ever even open my eyes. We had been best friends since diapers. Even in the years growing up, people would never see one of us hanging out with someone else. It had just always been Fionna and Lilth.

What made our bond even more powerful was the fact that she was also my cousin. So even if I didn't want to be her best friend or with her in general, we would have have a cousin bond anyway.

And no, Lilth wasn't dead. If she was, I would have been the saddest person alive. Scratch that- I already was the saddest person alive at the moment. Lilth had ran away and I knew that for a fact.

Drip.

Drip.

Drop.

Drop.

I knew Lilth hadn't been kidnapped or anything crazy like that. I knew it because I knew Lilth. Lilth would talk to me all the time about wanting the leave this boring house, the one I'm currently in right now. The house was my fathers. My father had been CEO of some rich company which got him to buy this big mansion. I never knew or questioned where he worked because as long it was bringing in money, why would it matter?

My father was a very quiet man. He wasn't always all sad and gloomy like he is now, though. He used to be full of life and happiness. He would even sometimes take me to feed the ducks. It had been our thing when I was younger to feed the ducks. But we haven't gone to feed the ducks in years, about 9 years because my mom died when I was 10. My beautiful mother had died in a fire. Ever since my mom died, my father has just been a silent, frowned-face man. He never stopped being sad, but I eventually stopped after a year.

That's my dad's problem, he never can stop after starting something. He is an addict over almost everything. I learnt that over the years. We only talk now if it's to see where I am.

Anyway, back to Lilth, she used to talk to me about how she wished she could escape one day. Escape the cruel reality we lived in. I always thought she was a tad crazy, but I loved her anyway. Plus, I remember one time she told me 'If I ever run away, you know that I love you, right?' I nodded and said of course.

What bullshit it is now.

I also know she ran away because the day before it was confirmed she was gone, a note had been left on my bed. I never understood it though. A couple days ago I would search up on the internet what it meant, I tried everything. Except giving it to the police. Giving it to the police was the absolute last thing I wanted to do. There was a reason Lilth left it for me and for me only. And I intended it to stay that way.

I kept my eyes glued to the outside window, watching the graceful rain hit the wet ground. My thoughts kept going though, it was like I was zoned out.

The note she gave me had three words on it. Or atleast I think they are words. They are probably gibberish. Or Lilth got me an internet, google search goose chase.

il venteux ciudad

I looked up every language to see what it actually meant. Nothing. I found nothing. Together the words meant nothing. It frustrated me how nothing added up. So now I have nothing to find here, to see if her new life is okay.

I sighed and turned to the clock.

3:57pm

My brother would be home in two hours and my father in five. I would be alone in this house, bored out of my mind, for a while. The rain kept making its famous drip, drop sound for a while as I starred outside the window.

I suddenly felt something enter my vision. I blinked for my eyes to ho back to normal. I looked at what was outside the window.

A man was there, a soaking wet man, if I might add. He wasn't old at all, he had to be a little older than my nineteen year old self. But something caught my eye about this man. He was beautiful. He had dark brown hair that was so dark it was almost black. His hair style was messy and downward from the rain, like a bed head, but it worked for him. But maybe his hair had been messy like that because it was raining. He seemed to be at least six feet. The man wasn't fat. He had actually been really skinny and muscular at the same time. I loved it. You could even tell he had abs by the shirt he was wearing. It was a dark tee shirt that had been soaking with rain so his abs were showing by an outline. I couldn't tell what his face really looked like, the window had started to be a little foggy from the rain still lightly pouring down.

Looking at the man who could be a model if he really wanted to, I felt plain. My long light brown hair that was a bit longer than my breasts had been naturally slick down straight. My brown eyebrows were naturally arched, thankfully. I had high cheekbones and a small nose. My height was five seven, which I thought was good. I liked my body a lot, though. I had been a stick, supermodel skinny my whole life. But my favorite part about my body was my eyes. My eyes were an exotic green like an emerald. My eye lashes were long also, that was a bonus.

Some said I looked like an angel itself or a natural beauty queen. But to the man outside I was nothing compared to him. He looked so perfect, like a greek god of some sort.

But then it hit me all at once.

Why was there a guy outside my house?
