Deliberately with gentle patience,
Forces muster under banner of war.
Pacing to and fro without hindrance,
Amassing might, ready to spar.
Flowing forward as one united,
Wet the sand with their passing.
Building fury like a Raging flood,
Chorus of sounds whispering!
As one, rear skywards,
Frothing mad, spittle flying,
Surging, panting forwards!
Onwards seething, as one crashing!
Spent upon initial force,
Withdraw to join afresh barage.
Renewed plans of discourse,
Swell the ranks for renewed charge!
Unfathomable, it rears once more,
Rolling, gathering velocity!
Assaults it's enemy as before,
Giving itself in its totality.
Blood sprays the air,
Like from decapitated warriors,
Spewing in all directions despair...
Yet it just persists and batters!
Dripping salty seas blood,
Alone it stands, solid bastion,
Mere rock forever blasted,
Neither one has lost nor won!
Weathered, tired, stripped of youth,
Once majestic, now but bare bones...
It knows the eventual truth...
It shall lose, become but stones.
Slowly ebbing, fury subsiding,
The ocean gently retreats,
Leaves her adversary slowly dying...
Patience, one day, will cure defeats.
