Next morning arriving to school I make my way towards my locker.
Suppressing a yawn but failing I sigh.
Slade kept me up all night.
His mood swings have a huge impact on me, even if he doesn't know they do.
I was still confused as to why he wouldn't be ok today.
Today was any normal day.
There was no difference to it.
Why did he have to complicate it and make me stay up all night, because I still can't understand why he was acting the way he was acting.
Hopefully he'll come to school today.
Then I could sort things out with him and that will clear up my confusion towards all of this.
I rub my eyes then adjust my glasses.
After adjusting them I am greeted with Claire.
"Hey!" she beams.
"Hi" I greet back as we give each other a quick hug.
"You look tired" she frowns.
"I am" I state opening my locker.
"Didn't get enough sleep" I explain shoving my bag inside the locker then taking out a few books for english and spanish.
"How come?" she questions.
Should I tell her about Slade?
Or should I keep it to myself and not make a big deal out of it?
Ehh, whatever.
"Just minor issues with Slade. That's all" I retort.
"Minor issues that kept you up all night?" she questions with a raised eyebrow.
I roll my eyes allowing a smile to reflect on my face for a few minutes.
"Ok maybe not so minor. But it's because I overthink things, that's all" I try to dismiss.
She nods.
"I hope everything turns out alright with you and Slade. He's a real complicated dude" she comments.
Tell me about it!
Suddenly I hear a few gasps coming from the students who filled the halls.
The loud voices that once echoed in the hallways settled down, being replaced by whispers.
"It's Scar!" I hear one whisper.
"Oh my God!" another gasps.
"Scar is back!" one joins.
Even Claire became quiet and was focusing on what the other students were saying.
Her expressions showed she knew what the fuzz was all about, because she looked pretty shocked and surprised that this 'Scar' person was back.
"Who the heck is Scar?" I question.
She slowly turns to face me.
"Oh right you don't know about him" she states.
"Who's him?" I ask.
"Yeah that was that year when you weren't even here" she continues.
"Who's he?" I repeat.
"That was a real crazy year man, a lot of drama went out-", "Claire who the heck is this Scar guy?!" I explode.
She gives me this weird look.
"Don't kill me!" she lifts her hands up in the air.
"Relax, Jeez" she adds.
"Claire just spill it out!" I whine.
"Ok. So every once a year particularly around this month Scar returns making his usual hot, sexy, bad-boy entrance, but worse than ever. With this scar on his face, which no one really knows the reason why. Point is, when he comes there's no good to it, he just causes pure chaos" Claire explains.
"How is this guy even in senior year, coming only once a freaking year?" I ask not understanding that part.
Claire slaps her hand over her forehead.
"Wow, you're just something else, Scar is-", "Here he comes!" a loud voice announces cutting Claire off.
We both bob our heads to the direction where the announcement was made.
We all waited in silence curiosity filling our expressions.
Of course I was more confused than everyone else.
After a few minutes we heard footsteps.
And there he was.
With his black leather jacket.
Walking in complete confidence.
Looking like if being the center of attention meant crap to him.
In all his 'glory' as every single eye examined him with admiration, envy and desire.
And most importantly the long visible scar, located on his upper left cheek.
"Oh-my-God.....no way" I manage to say.
"Scar is Slade?!".
