*Third POV

Niklaus reached out his hand to her whereas Damera looked at him in shock. "I thought you would hate me", she softly spoke out. Niklaus paused, why would she think that.

"Mera, I can never come to hate you. Do me a favour and accept this hand of your dear brother", he smiled gently at her. Her eye started to water but Klaus said "Ah ah, no water works dear sister, its a reunion that is to be celebrated with happiness only because I'm glad to know you are alive", Damera's mouth widened and accepted his hand. He dragged her to the floor and that when all eyes were on them.

The music started and the dancing began.

"I always knew you didn't die, something deep inside me always had a feeling. A 1000 years past and I always hoped we'd be reunited, Firebird", Klaus winked and Damera smiled.

"You knew", she glanced at him. it was Niklaus's turn to smile, "Mera, when mother said you had ran off the night before of the turning and died from a werewolf attack - it all seemed to coincidental. I knew my sister was alive out there somewhere, so when I heard the news of a witch immune to fire I had to search. I never found you but I always felt you looking over us." Damera's eyes softened.

"Niklaus...." They both stared at each other with pure happiness.

"So what brings you here to Mystic Falls", Niklaus questioned, "I visit here from time to time so I've moved here, yesterday" Damera replied, "I have a place near the outskirts of town at the moment".

"Sister, please stay, in the mansion with everyone", Niklaus looked at her with hope.

"We can be a family again". Damera pondered but then thought of Esther. "Sorry, but I can't". Niklaus saddened at the answer, he knew what happened between her and Esther (partly the reason why he killed mother) but not the reason. She was a bastard like him, at least he had one of the parents to help him back them, whereas for her both disregarded her.

"Is it Mother?", by the silence Damera gave Niklaus took that as a yes.

"Nik, just to warn you, careful of her", Niklaus looked confused and he was about to ask her what she meant until the change of partners occurred.

"Hey there stranger", Matt's eye shone. Damera smiled "Hey yourself blue eyes". As the two talked a bit, in the distance Damon stared at Matt with envy. Stefan noticed his brother wasn't focusing at him so he followed to where Damon was looking only to spot Matt and a elegant girl dancing with him, laughing and talking. Matt spun her and Stefan looked in shock. 

She was gorgeous, beyond compare to anyone he ever saw, even Elena.

"I thought you were leaving?", Matt said

"Well, I was but people are so rude that the entrance got blocked so I stayed" she sighed.

"Haha, at least I got to dance with you buddy" Matt cheekily said, "Buddy?, well well we have become buddies", Damera and Matt joked until it was time to switch partners.

Elijah came to the frame of her sight.

"Were you leaving without saying hello or hi to me", Damera looked down guilty. He lifted her chin, "even after a thousand years I'd recognise those eyes anywhere Rose" Damera's heart faltered at the nickname he once gave to her as a child.

She loved roses, white roses because although it symbolised marriage, for her it symbolised commitment and loyalty to one another. Ellijah picked out a rose for her every year for her birthday because of the land they were in, flowers were scarce. So he'd take weeks to find it before her day.

"I haven't heard that name in a long time", her eyes softened. "Where have you been all this time and why only now" Elijah said, his face showed how hurt he was because she never came face to face. "We all thought you dead since that night".

"I will tell you, all of you, soon" Then Damera picked up a scent of fresh blood, Ellijah noticed two and brought her with him. They go outside to see Kol and Damon arguing, Kol had the upper hand until his eyes landed on Damera - he's eyes held confusion, "Sist-" Kol's neck snapped.

"Kol" Damera shouted out and ran to her brother's still body. She looked up at Damon with anger.

"What the hell" Damera looked at him fiercely. 

"Dami?", Rebekah's voice said. All eyes landed on Damera and she looked to the ground. Without a word she picked up Kol and asked Finn to assist her to his room. They kept walking until Rebekah spoke out once again, "How are you alive?", she heard her little sisters voice waver and tears came out. Damera stopped along with Finn and looked at Rebekah. "We will discuss but not now" and carried on walking.

Rebekah dropped to her knees in disbelief that the sister she thought dead was right in front of her, flesh and blood. Damon, Elena and Stefan looked at each other.

Who was she?
