Chapter 12

Brooklyn's P.O.V.

It's been five days since me and Parker talked on the beach. These five days were okay. We talked, but it was still a little bit awkward. I don't want it to be awkward between me and Parker, but it's going to take time. After all time heals everything. We just need time.

"Where are you going?" My mom asked me.

"I'm going to have dinner with Parker." I told my mom as I lower my dress. "How do I look?"

"You look gorgeous honey." Mom smiled at me.

"Thanks mom!" I returned her smile.

"I just hope he doesn't hurt you again, emotionally and physically." My mom said as she eyed the cast on my arm.

"He won't." I resumed her. Somebody rang the door bell.

"Oh my God, it's him, how's my lipstick?" I asked my mom.

"It's fine Brook." She went to open the door.

"How are you Susan?" I heard Parker ask my mom.

"I'm great honey, please come in!" She ushered him in the house. I smiled as I imagined my small mom man handling Parker who is 6'7''.

I walked into the hall trying to save Parker from my mom. She kept fussing over him.

"You grown so much since the last time I saw you! Boy why aren't you visiting me more?" She scolded him.

"Mom!" I brought their attention to me. Parker ginned at me while my mom glared.

"You look stunning." He told me. We hugged a little.

"I know right." I joked and he laughed. He looked dashing in all black suit.

"This is for you, beautiful." He gave me a rose which I didn't notice by now. I blushed a little and took the rose. I loved just one simple rose. I don't want huge bouquet, just one simple rose is perfect.

"Thank you." I smiled at him.

"I love your smile." He mumbled in my ear. I blushed a little.

"Okay kids, pose for the picture! This one is going on my instagram." My mom ordered us. Yes people my mom has an instagram. She says she needs to post her awesomeness somewhere.

We turned toward my mom, Parker pulled me closer to him by my waist. I smiled at my mom, but Parker kept looking at me.

"It's perfect!" Mom squealed.

"Okay mom, we're going to go now." I said and pulled Parker toward the door.

I gave her my rose.
